Sliding Gate

Sliding Gate with Long Modern Look Handle

  • If space is limited or there is something blocking the area around your access point, sliding gates may well be your best option.

  • Because they slide along the fence-line, this style of gate takes up minimal space. It also allows vehicles and pedestrians to access the property safely and easily.

  • Sliding gates are ideal in situations where the access point is particularly wide. Because they run along a floor track rather than swinging freely, they don’t sag under their own weight. This may be the case with a swinging gate.

  • Is your access point on sloping ground?  If so, sliding gates are the obvious choice. They don’t have to be opened ‘toward’ the vehicles or pedestrians.

Swing Gate

Sliding Gate

Chain Link Double Swing Gate

  • Swinging gates are considered the safer option. Fewer moving parts and less opportunity for little hands or fingers to be caught as they open means that this gate is often the preferred style for use at childcare facilities, parks and other public places.

  • Swinging gates can be opened either way, which allows easier access for pedestrians and vehicles approaching from either side.

  • Swinging gates are generally the more budget-friendly option. Fewer moving parts, less set-up required at the side of the fence and no floor-track makes them cheaper to install.

  •  Our swing gate construction and design is second to none. You can choose from single gates or double gates (bi-parting).

Automatic Sliding Gate, with inbuilt door for single person entrance.

  •  Electric sliding gates have wheels set in to angle iron at the base of the gate. These wheels have either a V or U groove profile and run along a track in the ground. Tracks are either set in to the ground or bolted on. Toothed racking attached to the length of the rear of the gate connects to the motor at the drive end of the gate, creating a rack and pinion drive system.

  • Swing gates open with a rotation around a fulcrum, just like an ordinary door. When the gate’s doors open, they usually turn inward thus requiring specific internal space.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**

In order to choose the ideal automation system, it is necessary to know the dimensions and the approximate weight of the gate panel (sometimes called a leaf), the sturdiness of the post and the leaf gate, along with the material it is made of.

The automations are usually powered by the 230V supply and 24Vdc, which, thanks to the low voltage alimentation, guarantees a safer functioning.
